Wild-card weekend is here and there are four great games on Saturday and Sunday. Here’s a preview from BroburySports.com.

Get up to $500.00 FREE for the playoffs by clicking here!

New Orleans Saints (-10 ½) at Seattle Seahawks – Saturday 4:30 pm ET

The total is 45 points. 86% of the betting public is backing New Orleans and 64% the ‘over.’

Seattle (7-9 SU and ATS) gets the home field advantage despite their under .500 record. That’s what happens when you play in the lowly NFC West. Defending champ New Orleans (11-5 SU, 7-9 ATS) showed its mettle with a road win at Atlanta two weeks ago. They are capable of blowing out this Seattle team that’s just 2-6 ATS at home.

NY Jets (+3) at Indianapolis Colts – Saturday 8 pm ET

The total is 44 ½ points. 55% of the betting public is backing Indy and 92% the ‘over.’

New York (11-5 SU, 9-7 ATS) finished behind New England in the AFC East and thus got the wild-card. Indianapolis (10-6 SU, 8-7-1 ATS) beat the Jets in the AFC title game last year and Peyton Manning has had good success against Rex Ryan defenses overall. The bombastic coach is still predicting a Jets Super Bowl win.

Baltimore Ravens (-3) at Kansas City Chiefs – Sunday 1 pm ET

The total is 41 points. 97% of the betting public is backing Baltimore and 92% the ‘under.’

Baltimore (12-4 SU, 8-7-1 ATS) is a veteran team with a lot of playoff experience that is not afraid of going on the road. Kansas City (10-6 SU, 9-7 ATS) had a surprise year winning the AFC West, but lost its first home game last Sunday to Oakland and is dealing with offensive coordinator Charlie Weis leaving at season’s end.

Green Bay Packers (+2 ½) at Philadelphia Eagles – Sunday 4:30 pm ET

The total is 46 points. 65% of the betting public is backing Philly and 91% the ‘over.’

Green Bay (10-6 SU, 9-7 ATS) needed a final week win over Chicago to get a wild-card. They won in Philly in Week 1 (27-20) after knocking out then starter Kevin Kolb. Philadelphia (10-6 SU, 7-9 ATS) handed the reigns to Mike Vick after Kolb got hurt and didn’t look back. Vick and the Eagles are looking to bounce back after a bad loss to Minnesota two weeks ago that cost them a chance at the No. 2 seed.

The Orange Bowl matchup between the Stanford Cardinal and Virginia Tech Hokies is a lot closer than the BCS rankings suggest. Here’s the Monday Night preview from BroburySports.com.

Get a FREE bet on the National Title Game here and up to $500.00 Free here!

BCS No. 4 Stanford (11-1 SU, 7-4-1 ATS) is a 3 ½-point favorite and has 84% of the betting support. Sentiment is split about 50-50 on the 58-point total. This game is from Sun Life Stadium in Miami.

This could be the last game for quarterback Andrew Luck. The junior will likely be the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft after throwing for 3,051 yards and the leading the nation’s eighth-ranked offense (40.3 PPG). Coach Jim Harbaugh has been rumored for the San Francisco 49ers and Michigan job, and that will certainly affect Luck’s decision.

Stanford’s only loss this year came at Oregon (52-31), who’s now in the national title game. The only other ranked team they faced was No. 15 Arizona and the Wildcats proved to be a sham, losing their final five games.

Virginia Tech (11-2 SU 10-3 ATS) is only ranked No. 13 in the BCS, but they’ve climbed a long way after opening losses to Boise State (33-30) and Division I-AA James Madison (21-16). The James Madison defeat was arguably the low point of coach Frank Beamer’s career.

Beamer has done a great job rallying the troops, ripping off 11 wins in a row and making his backers happy at 10-1 ATS. The latest was a 44-33 win over Florida State as 4 ½-point favorites in the ACC title game.

Va. Tech has a three-headed rushing attack with Ryan Williams, Darren Evans and David Wilson. Senior quarterback Tyrod Taylor is a great leader just like Luck and he’s more versatile with his ability to both run and pass.

The Pac-10 didn’t have a conference title game, so the Hokies have played one more game than Stanford. They’ve also played a tougher schedule overall.

I think they pull off the small upset with the final going just below the total.

Prediction: Virginia Tech 30, Stanford 27

Updated Bowl Odds – Remaining Games

The Fiesta and Rose Bowl highlight a huge New Year’s Day of bowl action. Here’s a prediction for every game from BroburySports.com.

Get a FREE BET on the National Title Game here and up to $500.00 Free here!

TicketCity Bowl: Northwestern (+9 ½) vs. Texas Tech – 12 pm ET

Big Ten Northwestern (7-5 SU, 3-9 ATS) is playing this game without star quarterback Dan Persa (ruptured Achilles). Freshman Evan Watkins gets the starting nod. Big 12 Texas Tech 7-5 SU (5-6-1 ATS) quarterback Taylor Potts should have a big day against the Northwestern pass defense. This looks like a mismatch.

Prediction: Texas Tech 38, Northwestern 20 (under the 60 ½-point total)

Outback Bowl: Penn State (+7) vs. Florida – 1 pm ET

SEC Florida (7-5 SU 6-6 ATS) will be playing its last game for coach Urban Meyer, who is leaving the team for health reasons. Big Ten Penn State (7-5 SU, 5-7 ATS) coach Joe Paterno has no plans on leaving despite the persistent rumors and the fact he’s 84-years-old. Florida is way overrated and this looks like a good spot for an upset.

Prediction: Penn State 27, Florida 24 (over the 48-point total)

Capital One Bowl: Michigan State (+10) vs. Alabama – 1 pm ET

SEC Alabama (9-3 SU and 7-5 ATS) had a disappointing season as the defending national champ, but has as much talent as anyone in the country. Michigan State (11-1 SU, 7-5 ATS) is a paper tiger out of the Big Ten, who got away with an easy schedule overall.. That changes in the game.

Prediction: Alabama 31, Michigan State 13 (under the 52 ½-point total)

Gator Bowl: Michigan (+4 ½) vs. Mississippi State – 1:30 pm ET

Mississippi State (8-4 SU, 6-6 ATS) is an underrated team out of the SEC that just gave coach Dan Mullen a new deal. Michigan (7-5 SU, 3-9 ATS) coach Rich Rodriguez is not getting a new deal and likely won’t last his current one. This should be another SEC win over the Big Ten.

Prediction: Mississippi State 34, Michigan 27 (over the 59 ½-point total)

Rose Bowl: Wisconsin (+3) vs. TCU – 5 pm ET

Big Ten Wisconsin (11-1 SU, 7-5 ATS) is scoring 67 PPG in its last three and has won seven straight. TCU (12-0 SU 7-5 ATS) almost made the national title game out of the MWC. Both of these schools score 43.3 PPG, good for fourth nationally. This should be a close one.

Prediction: Wisconsin 30, TCU 27 (under the 58 ½-point total)

Fiesta Bowl: Connecticut (+17) vs. Oklahoma – 8:30 pm ET

Oklahoma (11-2 SU, 7-6 ATS) is coming off a 23-20 win over Nebraska in the Big 12 title game, but has lost their last five BCS Bowls. Connecticut (8-4 SU and ATS) is only here because the Big East gets an automatic bid. They’ve won five straight games and can keep this closer than expected.

Prediction: Oklahoma 34, Connecticut 20 (under the 55-point total)

South Carolina Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier faces his old nemesis, the Florida State Seminoles, Friday night in the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta. Here’s a preview from BroburySports.com.

Get a FREE bet on the National Title Game here and up to $500.00 Free here!

Other Friday games are as follows:

Meineke Car Care Bowl: South Florida (+6) vs. Clemson

Sun Bowl: Notre Dame (+3) vs. Miami

Liberty Bowl: Georgia (-6 ½) vs. UCF

BCS No. 20 South Carolina (9-4 SU, 7-6 ATS) is a three-point favorite and has 86% of the betting support. A big 92% are taking the ‘over’ 54 ½-points. This game will in the indoor environment of the Georgia Dome.

Spurrier is very familiar to Florida State after his years with the Florida Gators. His previous nemesis was long-time coach Bobby Bowden, but Bowden was replaced this year by head-coach-in-waiting Jimbo Fisher. There is no love lost between Spurrier and the Seminoles fans.

South Carolina lost 56-17 to Auburn in the SEC title game after getting blown out in the second half. Quarterback Stephen Garcia had two picks and more mistakes are a concern against the fast Florida State defense. Giving the ball to great freshman running back Marcus Lattimore will slow down the ‘D’ at least some.

Fisher has had a good season overall at 9-4 SU and 7-6 ATS (identical to South Carolina). Florida State (BCS No. 23) finished the regular season with wins over Clemson, Maryland and Florida. However, they ran into a red-hot Virginia Tech team in the ACC title game, losing 44-33.

Senior quarterback Christian Ponder (elbow) missed that game and was replaced by sophomore E.J. Manuel. Ponder is healthy enough for this game and there’s a good chance he’ll make the difference in the outcome.

Prediction: Florida State 30, South Carolina 27

Updated Bowl Odds – Remaining Games

The Washington Huskies have a great chance for revenge Thursday night when they meet the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego. Here’s a preview from BroburySports.com.

Get a FREE bet on the National Title Game here and up to $500.00 Free here!

Other Thursday games are as follows:

Armed Forces: Army (+7) vs. SMU
Pinstripe: Kansas St. (Even) vs. Syracuse
Music City: North Carolina (-1) vs. Tennessee

Washington (6-6 SU, 5-6-1 ATS) is a big 14-point underdog and only 21% of the betting public is backing them. A big 95% are taking the ‘over’ 53 points.

Washington and Nebraska (10-3 SU, 6-6-1 ATS) met back in September in Seattle. The Cornhuskers were just three-point favorites, but completely embarrassed the Huskies with a 56-21 win. Nebraska had 385 rushing yards with quarterback Taylor Martinez (137) and running backs Roy Helu Jr. (110) and Rex Burkhead (104) all breaking the 100-yard mark.

Martinez is a dynamic redshirt freshman who ran for 942 yards this year and threw for 1,578 more. However, he was slowed down the stretch by ankle and toe injuries and didn’t do much in the 23-20 loss to Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game. Nebraska blew a 17-0 lead in that contest.

Martinez is healthier now after the layoff, but the game-plan should be mostly the running of Helu and Burkhead.

Washington comes into this game on a three-game winning streak. It did come against the bottom dwellers of the Pac-10 in UCLA (24-7), California (16-13) and Washington State (35-28), but they’ll take the wins – especially as it gave them the bowl berth.

Quarterback Jake Locker had two picks and just 71 passing yards in the first meeting with Nebraska. That hurt his NFL draft stock and this would be a good time for revenge. Locker should play well in his last college game and Washington will have enough pride to keep it close.

Prediction: Nebraska 30, Washington 23

Updated Bowl Odds – Remaining Games

12/31 Meineke Car Care: South Florida (+6) vs. Clemson

12/31 Sun: Notre Dame (+3) vs. Miami

12/31 Liberty: Georgia (-6 ½) vs. UCF

12/31 Chick-fil-A: South Carolina (-3) vs. Florida State

1/1 TicketCity: Northwestern (+9 ½) vs. Texas Tech

1/1 Outback: Florida (-7) vs. Penn State

1/1 Capital One: Alabama (-10) vs. Michigan State

1/1 Gator Bowl: Mississippi State (-4 ½) vs. Michigan

1/1 Rose Bowl: Game Wisconsin (+3) vs. TCU

1/1 Fiesta Bowl: Connecticut (+17) vs. Oklahoma
1/3 Orange Bowl: Stanford (-3 ½) vs. Virginia Tech

1/4 Sugar Bowl: Ohio State (-3 ½) vs. Arkansas

1/6 GoDaddy.com: Middle Tennessee (Even) vs. Miami (Ohio)

1/7 Cotton: LSU (-1) vs. Texas A&M

1/8 Compass Bowl: Pittsburgh (-3) vs. Kentucky

1/9 Fight Hunger: Nevada (-7 ½) vs. Boston College

1/10 National Title Game: Oregon (+3) vs. Auburn

Get a FREE bet on the National Title Game here and up to $500.00 Free here!

Other Wednesday games are as follows:

Military Bowl: East Carolina (+7 ½) vs. Maryland

Texas Bowl: Illinois (+1) vs. Baylor

Oklahoma State is 10-2 SU and 9-3 ATS. A big 81% of the betting public is backing them, while the same margin likes the ‘over’ 66 points.

The public’s response to this game is not surprising. Oklahoma State has the third leading scoring offense in the country (44.9 PPG). The trio of quarterback Brandon Weeden, receiver Justin Blackmon and running back Kendall Hunter aren’t that well known, but are as dangerous as anyone.

The Cowboys were supposed to be towards the bottom of the Big 12 South, but finished one game away from making the conference title game. That was a 47-41 home loss to arch-rival Oklahoma. Coach Mike Gundy is determined to end this season on a high note.

Arizona (7-5 SU, 6-6 ATS) saw its season take a major nosedive after starting 7-1 SU. They lost their last four games (going 1-3 ATS) although there were tough games versus USC, Stanford and Oregon in there. The final 30-29 loss to Arizona State in double OT was a huge blow.

Coach Mike Stoops is supposed to be a defensive mastermind, but the defense allowed 36 PPG the last four games. Quarterback Nick Foles played really well down the stretch and must have a big game to keep up with the OSU offense.

Prediction: Oklahoma State 34, Arizona 23

Updated Bowl Odds – Remaining Games

12/30 Armed Forces: Army (+7 ½) vs. SMU

12/30 Pinstripe: Kansas St. (Even) vs. Syracuse

12/30 Music City: North Carolina (-1 ½) vs. Tennessee

12/30 Holiday: Nebraska (-14) vs. Washington

12/31 Meineke Car Care: South Florida (+5 ½) vs. Clemson

12/31 Sun: Notre Dame (+3) vs. Miami

12/31 Liberty: Georgia (-6 ½) vs. UCF

12/31 Chick-fil-A: South Carolina (-3) vs. Florida State

1/1 TicketCity: Northwestern (+9 ½) vs. Texas Tech

1/1 Outback: Florida (-7) vs. Penn State

1/1 Capital One: Alabama (-10) vs. Michigan State

1/1 Gator Bowl: Mississippi State (-4 ½) vs. Michigan

1/1 Rose Bowl: Game Wisconsin (+3) vs. TCU

1/1 Fiesta Bowl: Connecticut (+17) vs. Oklahoma
1/3 Orange Bowl: Stanford (-3 ½) vs. Virginia Tech

1/4 Sugar Bowl: Ohio State (-3 ½) vs. Arkansas

1/6 GoDaddy.com: Middle Tennessee (+1) vs. Miami (Ohio)

1/7 Cotton: LSU (-1) vs. Texas A&M

1/8 Compass Bowl: Pittsburgh (-3) vs. Kentucky

1/9 Fight Hunger: Nevada (-7 ½) vs. Boston College

1/10 National Title Game: Oregon (+3) vs. Auburn

St. Louis (7-8 SU, 10-5 ATS) has a one-game lead in the division, but Seattle (6-9 SU and ATS) will get the tiebreaker with a win. Seattle lost 38-15 at Tampa Bay last week, while St. Louis got Mike Singletary fired with a 25-17 home win over San Fran.

St. Louis is a one-point road favorite, with Seattle 1-5 SU and ATS in its last six.

Pittsburgh (11-4 SU, 9-6 ATS) will win the AFC North with a road win at Cleveland (5-10 SU and ATS) or a Baltimore (11-4 SU, 8-6-1 ATS) home loss to Cincinnati (4-11 SU, 6-9 ATS). Both games are being played at 1 pm ET.

Pittsburgh is a six-point favorite, while Baltimore is 9 ½-point ‘chalk.’

Indianapolis (9-6 SU, 8-6-1 ATS) will win the AFC South with a home win over Tennessee (6-9 SU, 7-8 ATS) or a Jacksonville (8-7 SU, 9-6 ATS) loss at Houston (5-10 SU and ATS). Both games are being played at 4:15 pm ET.

Indianapolis is a 9 ½-point favorite, while the Jacksonville game isn’t listed yet.

Green Bay (9-6 SU and ATS) can clinch a wild-card with a home win over Chicago (11-4 SU, 8-6-1 ATS). The spread isn’t listed yet as the game could be meaningless for Chicago based on Tuesday’s Minnesota (+14 ½) at Philadelphia game (moved due to blizzard).

Atlanta has an eight-game winning streak and is 2 ½-point home favorites with a total of 49 points. 66% of bettors like Atlanta and 93% the ‘over.’

Atlanta (12-2 SU, 10-4 ATS) can clinch the NFC’s top seed and home field advantage with a win. That’s vital as they’ve been dominant at home this year at 6-0 SU (4-2 ATS).

Quarterback Matt Ryan is 19-1 SU career at home as a starter. He did miss a couple of home games last year with turf toe. Ryan has a 100.1 quarterback rating this year at home versus 83.0 away. However, he’s shown he can engineer wins anywhere, which is most important.

One of Atlanta’s wins came September 26 in New Orleans. They won 27-24 as three-point ‘dogs. A missed field in overtime by New Orleans kicker Garrett Hartley was the difference. The final score went ‘over’ the 49 ½-point total and the ‘over’ is 5-1 in the last six meetings between the teams.

Michael Turner rushed for 114 yards in that game and has 1,256 yards for the season. Atlanta needs to run the ball early and often to chew up clock and keep Drew Brees and company on the sidelines. New Orleans is tied for 19th in the NFL in run defense (117 YPG).

Defending champion New Orleans (10-4 SU, 6-8 ATS) can clinch a wild-card with a win. That’s even after a 30-24 loss at Baltimore last week in which Ray Rice had 153 rushing yards and 80 receiving.

Brees threw for 267 yards against the tough Baltimore defense. There’s no stopping this prolific passing attack and Brees should have success against the Falcons just like the first meeting (30-of-38, 365 yards).

The Saints are 5-2 SU away this year, but only 2-5 ATS. They did win in Atlanta last year, 26-23 as 10-point favorites, but the immortal Chris Redman was Atlanta’s quarterback. Brees was 31-of-40 for 296 passing yards and three TDs.

Can Atlanta sweep their fierce rival and lock up the highly coveted No. 1 seed?

The Pittsburgh Steelers can’t afford to take the Carolina Panthers for granted when they meet on Thursday Night Football. The NFL Network will have the kickoff at 8:20 pm ET.

Get up to $500.00 FREE by clicking here! Plus check out our Thursday night Cash Back / Double Your Money Special!

Pittsburgh is a big 14 ½-point home favorite with a total of just 37 points. That’s the biggest spread of the week by far. 72% of the betting public is giving the points. 76% like the ‘over.’

Pittsburgh is 10-4 SU and 8-6 ATS. They’re coming off a 22-17 home loss to the New York Jets, an exciting contest that came down to the final play. That game went ‘over’ the low 36-point total after the ‘over’ went 4-0 in Pittsburgh’s previous four games.

Pitt clinched a playoff spot despite the loss, but wants more. A win this week, plus next week at Cleveland, ensures the No. 2 playoff seed and a first round bye. Baltimore is also 10-4 right now, but loses out in a tie-breaker situation.

The Steelers are just 4-3 SU (4-3 ATS) at home this year, certainly not what was expected. One of those defeats was to Baltimore (17-14) with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger still serving his suspension. However they got decimated by New England (39-26) on November 14 even with ‘Big Ben’ playing.

Safety Troy Polamalu (Achilles) missed the Jets game and is likely out the rest of the regular season. Tight end Heath Miller (concussion) missed last week, but he’s expected to be back. The offense could certainly use him after averaging just 18 PPG in the last four games.

Carolina (2-12 SU, 4-10 ATS) has the worst record in the league even after beating Arizona at home last week, 19-12 as 2 ½-point favorites. That ended a seven-game losing streak (1-6 ATS).

Rookie Jimmy Clausen was 13-of-19 for 141 yards and a TD. However, he may be out of a job next year if the team gets the top pick and drafts Stanford’s Andrew Luck. Coach John Fox is also likely moving on at year end, so the team’s focus could start to go downhill.

Clausen is certainly better off with a good running game and Jonathan Stewart had 137 rushing yards last week and 460 the last four weeks. Pittsburgh will stack the line of scrimmage and force Clausen to throw, but their defense is not nearly as menacing without Polamalu.

If Carolina can muster just 10-14 points, it may be hard for Pittsburgh to ‘cover’ this spread given their sputtering offense.

Can Pittsburgh win out and get the No. 2 seed?
